Welcome to Burnham On Sea Community Cafe Church.

We meet a lot of people and often ask the question of why they don’t go to Church? The answers are usually the same. ‘Church is irrelevant’, or ‘I would rather go to the pub’, or ‘I do believe in God, but cant stand the going to Church’. On the whole people are not turned of by Jesus, but often by the way Church is expressed.

If you looked around Burnham On Sea you would often see the local restaurants, cafe bars and pubs filling up with people who are out for breakfast, morning tea and lunch time meals etc.

It is time to take the Church out to the people and Cafe Church is a way of doing this. It is, simply put, Church but in the style of a cafe, and at the same time has a short interactive message with worship and media presentations. This enables a very relaxed atmosphere that people feel comfortable in, and would also feel happy inviting friends along to.

So come along at ten am on a Sunday morning, have a coffee, cup of tea, or a slice of cake, sit down and chat with your friends, and listen to (or join in with) the worship, and a short message about Jesus.

There is a soft play area (with wireless speakers connected to the main meeting area) available for toddlers and babies with a bouncy castle to jump on and lots of toys to throw around (the children that is!), plus ‘Praisemakers’ for 5-10’s and ‘Xtreme-thirst’ with consoles and other fun games for the 11 plus age groups to go to, so there’s plenty going on for everyone.
